For example the 4th or 5th level has you against about 6 orc bases, this level is huge and near impossible at first. But in later levels its a real pain in the a** cause very quickly the game has you fighting more then one enemy base. But the size of the scout force gets bigger each time you kill them, so u have a time limit to put your plan into action until th scout force turns into an army. The enemy will send out scouts to search the map, kill the scout before he informs his base of your base and they dont attack. The games tacticul element lies with awareness. The early missions are truly huge, which is kind of annoying. The controls a tad iffy, youcan make formations and teams but simple controls like patrol and gaurd are difficult to remember. The strategy side of it is a bit average, the fact you can mix and match armies from two different races is great and can give great tactical advantage (best so far is a dwarf/elf mixture) but each race on its own is really crappy. So u gotta build a base around the monument. But as well as the the monument you need a base to allow access to more complicated heroes. The idea is your a rune warrior, someone who can summon soldiers etc from ancient monuments, so in every level you go to there is usually a monument to either Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Dark Elves, Orks, and goblins. I know its german cause one of the bugs is that it aint fully translated (some dialogue is in german) also i started a while ago stopped cause it took 2 hours to do one mission and i had exams, back now and i'm finding it much easier. That's up to your personal taste.Įdit: till MM level 13 you play as a warrior so just equip the best weapon you can, cast fast fighting aura, activate berserk and you should be good to go.Started playing this a while ago, pretty good, not great but good enough its a european rpg/strategy game (think its german) which has an interesting way of melding the two. Just remember you can't spend points anywhere else unlike the mind Warrior.Īs soon as you reach level 31 and have 13MM You have 2 options level MM to 20 with frost-thrower or leave it at 13 and level ranged to 17 to get death breeze (xbow with debuff suffercaution that reduce max hp on enemies that stakes, making bosses a joke). It's been a while so I haven't the exact attribute numbers in mind(with the exact numbers you could plan more "smoothly"but it's not a big loss if you ratefull with spending. Pick light combat at level to without subs kill to get berserk 3.level up ranged and xbow till 10 4.level up MM to max That are the basics.įor skills you should pick the following to make the start easier.ġ.when you create a character pick WN boon to get the fast fighting aura 2. For the beginning you invest 15 in strength and dex And increase the stats accordingly till you can reach level 10 ranged and crossbow(for the frost-thrower arin campaign), by that you need the exact amount, bacause you can't waste even 1 point if you want MM 13 at level 31.Īfter that you put everything in int and charisma and level MM and illusion. ![]() Maybe all this is gone for good now, but I’m calling to the Spellforce 1 veterans here: Is anyone still an expert on Spellforce 1 builds and wants to elaborate this build one final time? (Again, I know it basically comes done to getting mirages with a ranged weapon, but I remember that some people put much more thought into it.) ![]() I vaguely remembered a very specific Forum post, really going into detail about this build and min-maxing it as far as possible….but also describing on how to progress from lvl 1-31 (to make BoW bearable as a mind magic user), what side skills to pick (HC2 for Warcry, for example), what items to focus on (besides frost-crossbow) and so on and so on. I understand, once you reach level 13, it probably becomes trivial anyway….but still, I always loved this “theorycrafting aspect” of Spellforce 1, so i'd rather read about it (and maybe reconsider my idea) before just running into it blindly. Unfortunately, various Spellforce1-Forums were apparently lost for good over the recent years and many posts/ideas are now gone for good. After all this time I wanted to replay Spellforce 1 again (the final time, this time for real!) and finally do the probably most OP build myself: Mind magic (with mirages) + ranged combat!
